Subsequent large-scale meta-analysis of 13,628 subjects found only a modest effect size (odds ratio 1.15; 95 % confidence intervals 1.07-1.23; P = 0.0002) for allele T at SNP rs2975760 as a risk factor for T2D [26], and no GWAS have reported P < 1x10−5 for association between T2D and CAPN10 as currently recorded in the NCBI Catalog of published GWAS [31]. This evidence concerns the gene CAPN10 and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
