As elimination of cancer stem cell-like cells provided an effective strategy to overcome tumor resistance and reduce relapse, our findings in this study shed some light on the molecular mechanisms of the molecular mechanisms of maintaining the stem cell-like phenotype, in which FGFR1 regulated the GLI2 expression through ERK pathway (Figure 8), and provided a novel target for the treatment of a subtype of NSCLC cells. This evidence concerns the gene GLI2 and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
