In line with this, PTC-209 demonstrates potent anti-MM activity by targeting central myeloma survival genes (e.g. MYC, MCL-1), shows synergistic activity with pomalidomide, carfilzomib and dexamethasone, reduces the protective effect of soluble factors and BMSCs in certain cell lines, and impairs angiogenesis as well as osteoclast formation. This evidence concerns the gene MCL1 and Miyoshi myopathy.
