The expression of Lgl1 is reduced in a number of cancers, including breast cancers, lung cancers, prostate cancers, ovarian cancers, colorectal cancers, melanomas, endometrial cancers and hepatocellular carcinomas, and a significant correlation has been found between the loss of Lgl1 protein and disease progression and lymph node metastasis [19, 34, 35, 39, 40]. This evidence concerns the gene LLGL1 and prostate cancer.
