IFNα2b (0.01 ng/ml) treatment had no effect on any of the following parameters; i) the migratory capacity of MACs, ii) the adhesion of MACs to activated endothelium, or iii) the angiogenic capacity of MACs (data not shown), suggesting the abnormal phenotype of SLE MACs cannot be attributed to exposure of MACs to interferon-alpha in isolation. Here, IFNA2 is linked to systemic lupus erythematosus.
