Since cyclin B1 plays an important role in initiating the progression from G2 phase to mitosis by regulating Cyclin-dependent kinase 1 (Cdk1) [24-25], thus it is quite possible that the knock-down of Nek7 expression suppress HCC cell proliferation and tumorigenicity by regulating cyclin B1 expression. The gene discussed is NEK7; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
