In summary, our study results are the first to show that the bromodomain-containing protein BRD7 is a novel prognostic biomarker for HCC, as evidenced by the down-regulation of BRD7 at both the transcriptional and translational levels in the majority of HCC tissue samples and cell lines tested and by the significant correlation between low BRD7 expression and poor prognosis in HCC patients. Here, BRD7 is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
