As DEPDC1 contains a Rho-GAP domain and is also upregulated in various types of human cancer, we investigated the relationship between MELK and DEPDC1, and found that the expression levels of MELK and DEPDC1 was strongly correlated in breast cancers as shown in Supplementary Figure S4A (Pearson's r = 0.6). Here, DEPDC1 is linked to cancer.
