Our data indicate four HUB genes, including NF-κB (RELA represents a subunit of NF-κB), p53 (corresponding to TP53 in humans), δ-2-catenin (corresponding to human CTNNB1) and HIF1A in P. lividus. NF-kB is a protein complex that controls transcription of DNA and regulates the activities of many signalling pathways within the intracellular network, playing a role in immune response, inflammation, infection, oncogenesis and apoptosis, and in determining cellular responses to extracellular stimuli [28].
