STAT2 and inflammatory breast carcinoma: These findings suggest a critical role for IFNα signaling and STAT2-mediated activation of IFITM1 in promoting the aggressiveness of triple-negative SUM149 IBC cells; however, additional studies need to be performed in other triple-negative inflammatory breast cancer (TNIBC) cell lines as well as in IBC tumors to validate the biological and clinical significance of these findings in IBC.
