Previous evidence for DNA methylation, including TAF5 [59] and DDX3X [60] methylation in individuals with HIV infection, ZNF451 methylation in individuals with Epstein–Barr virus (EBV) infection [61], and CELF1 methylation in individuals with Moloney leukemia virus infection [62], supports our findings. This evidence concerns the gene CELF1 and Epstein-Barr virus infection.
