As expected, ITGA6A was detected at low levels in controls and Ad while its relative amount in samples from stage II and III CRCs represented approximately half of the total ITGA6 copies in these samples, an observation consistent with our previous observations of the up-regulation of the ITGA6A/ITGA6 ratio in these primary CRC lesions [27]. Here, ITGA6 is linked to colorectal carcinoma.
