While previous studies have demonstrated that IL-17A signaling directly induces CXCL10 production in esophageal cell lines [34], and the production of IL-17F is necessary for CXCL10 expression in hepatic viral infection models [35], whether the IL-17 axis induces CXCL10 during NAFLD remains undefined.
