The survival analysis revealed that the gastric cancer patients survive better with higher expression levels of Bmi-1, and correlated with smaller tumor size (< 5 cm), better pathological differentiation (I-II), less lymph node metastases (≤ 70% or earlier N stages), earlier T stages, non-metastatic disease (M0), earlier UICC stages (Table 2). This evidence concerns the gene BMI1 and gastric cancer.
