Recently, Kabbout et al. reported that ETS2 exerts a tumor suppressor function in NSCLC pathogenesis through inhibition of the MET proto-oncogene, and that low ETS2 expression by immunohistochemistry was a significant predictor of shorter time to recurrence after curative resection in early stage NSCLC [27]. The gene discussed is ETS2; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
