Since BK channel blockade by paxilline, a toxin of the fungus Penicillium paxilli, suppresses IR-induced migration in vitro [14] the present study further tested whether glioma BK channel targeting with paxilline might be a powerful strategy to suppress IR-induced migration of glioblastoma cells in vivo. This evidence concerns the gene KCNMA1 and glioblastoma.
