HFE and cancer: It is increasingly reported that two mutations in HFE – C282Y (rs1800562G>A) and H63D (rs1799945 C>G) – are associated with an increased risk of cancers, including hepatocellular 4, 5, breast 6, colorectal 7 and prostate cancer 8, as well as others 9, 10, 11, 12.
