Although we have shown that LIN7A is over-expressed in IMPCs, which constitute a sub-type of rare breast carcinomas, our in vitro experiments in the MCF10A, CAMA-1 and MDA-MB-231 cell lines indicate that the effect of LIN7A over-expression on proliferation, invasion and tumor growth is subtype-independent.
