By contrast, MDA-MB-231-LIN7A tumors contained no necrosis in any of the 7 cases (0 %), had invasive borders with tumor cells invading as isolated cells or in solid sheets between adipocytes of the mice mammary fat-pads or muscles fibers (Fig. 3h, right panel) and were more proliferative, as reflected in a higher level of KI-67 staining (27.5 % vs 53.5 %, Student t test p value = 3.2 × 10-2) (Fig. 3i), suggesting that LIN7A plays a role in proliferation, which has previously never been described.
