To explore the clinic-pathological significance of pSTAT3 in pancreatic cancer and the utility of STAT3 inhibition in sensitizing pancreatic cancer to chemo/radio-therapy, we first measured pSTAT3 expression by immunohistochemistry in 156 pancreatic cancer samples paired with normal tissues resected from primary pancreatic tumors and adjacent non-tumor areas. The gene discussed is STAT3; the disease is neoplasm.
