Our data showed overexpression of proinflammatory factors including CXCL1, CXCL2, CXCR4, CCL3, CCL4, IL-8, and PTGS2/COX-2 in the peripheral blood of patients with breast cancer both when considering the subtypes individually and when considering all breast cancer samples as a group. The gene discussed is CXCL8; the disease is breast carcinoma.
