TP53 and breast carcinoma: Notably, the combination of a high EDI with specific DNA alterations—mutations in a gene called TP53 and loss of genes on Chromosomes 4p14 and 5q13—improved the accuracy of prognosis among patients with grade 3 breast cancer and stratified them into subgroups with disease-specific five-year survival rates of 35%, 9%, and 32%, respectively.
