PTPRC and familial pancreatic carcinoma: We found that disease progression from normal pancreatic tissue, chronic pancreatitits, PanIN to pancreatic cancer was accompanied by a progressive infiltration of CD45+ inflammatory cells, in which the percentages of granulocyte and macrophages were in prevalence comprising nearly half of the inflammatory cells at the inception of pancreatic cancerogenesis and dramatically increased, on the contrary, the proportions of Th and CTL significantly decreased.
