Balasenthil et al. also found both nuclear and cytoplasmic staining for MTA1 in benign endometrial glands, but in endometrial carcinoma they showed that MTA1 was predominantly localized to cytoplasm in grade III tumor, suggesting that in this grade, MTA1 had a non-genomic function (30). The gene discussed is MTA1; the disease is endometrial carcinoma.
