While 466,950 loci were significantly hypermethylated in MEN1-parathyroid tumors (Figure 1A), only 48,162 and 27,169 loci were significantly hypermethylation in parathyroid adenomas (Figure 1B) and parathyroid carcinomas (Figure 1C) respectively, when compared to normal parathyroids. This evidence concerns the gene MEN1 and parathyroid gland adenoma.
