As a recent article shows the function of CtBP2 in epigenetic reprogramming of cells for lineage commitment [45] and the serous subtype expressed a higher level of Pinin than the mucinous subtype of ovarian tumors in our study (Table 1), Pinin and CtBP proteins may interact with each other to regulate proliferation and local invasion of epithelial ovarian cancer cells and histologic lineage differentiation.
