When OLFM4 expression was analyzed by Western blot and miR-486-5p expression was measured by real-time PCR in frozen fresh human ovarian cancer and normal tissues, we found that miR-486-5p levels in ovarian cancer tissues were lower than in normal tissues (Figure 6B) and that OLFM4 was more frequently detectable in ovarian cancer tissues as compared with normal tissues (Figure 6C). Here, OLFM4 is linked to ovarian cancer.
