For the remaining 22 SNPs, we found no significant association with the risk of HCC (all adjusted P values > 0.05), but we noticed that rs529963 in HJURP showed marginal association (uncorrected P value = 0.0037) with HCC risk (Table 1), and was in strong linkage disequilibrium (LD) with rs3771333 (r2 = 0.79). Here, HJURP is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
