Male BRCA2 mutation carriers more frequently had grades 2 and 3 tumours than grade 1 tumours, as compared with MBC cases from the general population (grade 2 vs. grade 1 OR 2.98, 95 % CI 1.44–6.19; grade 3 vs. grade 1 OR 5.53, 95 % CI 2.69–11.39; P for trend = 4.52 × 10−12).
