falciparum infection (12,932 parasites/μL) presented hepatic dysfunction with hyperbilirubinaemia (total bilirubin 4.7 mg/dL) and clinical jaundice, while another with P. vivax (3655 parasites/μL), presented severe anaemia (Hb 4.4 g/dL) with general pallor without co-incidental infections. Here, GSTM1 is linked to Hyperbilirubinemia.
