HLA-B and kidney disorder: According to current treatment guidelines, dual therapy with LPV/r + 3TC, LPV/r + RAL, or DRV + RAL can be considered when regimens containing ABC or TDF are not recommended or are contraindicated because of patient comorbidities, such as the presence of cardiovascular risk factors or pre-existing renal disease and a positive HLA-B*5701 test [2–4].
