Our in vivo data are consistent with reports in haematopoietic stem cells in which mTORC1 activity increases mitochondrial biogenesis, contributing to ROS‐dependent decreased stemness and haematopoiesis (Chen et al, 2008), and that mTOR inhibition can alleviate mitochondrial disease (Johnson et al, 2013).
