Accordingly, we tested whether the following mediators might, at least in part, explain potential associations between SNPs and health services utilization outcomes: ultrasound hepatic steatosis, serum alanine aminotransferase, ferritin, metabolic syndrome, waist circumference, body mass index, triglycerides, high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol, blood pressure, serum glucose, and glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) [17–21]. This evidence concerns the gene GPT and metabolic syndrome.
