NPPB and heart failure: Patients who died were older atthe index ACS event (79 vs 66 years, p < 0.001), had a worsemean estimated glomerular filtration rate (49.1 vs 80.5 mL/min,p < 0.001), presented more frequently with heart failure on admission (21.2vs 5.8%, p = 0.001), had more frequently myocardialinfarction on admission (61.2 vs 39.6%, p = 0.002) and hadhigher levels of admission BNP (220 vs 44.7 pg/mL, p <0.001) than patients who survived.
