FGFR1 and hyperphosphatemia: Rather, selective deletion of Fgfr1 in the distal tubule inhibited renal calcium transport with secondary effects to inhibit proximal tubular phosphate transport, whereas conditional deletion of α-Kl in the distal tubule resulted in hyperphosphatemia and no reported effect on renal calcium handling, a phenotype resembling Fgfr1PT-cKO mice.
