In a large population-based food allergy study of 1-year old infants, parent-reported adverse reaction to cow’s milk was 6.1 % (95 % CI, 5.1–7.0), however, only 2.7 % (95 % CI, 2.1–3.4) had a reaction consistent with symptoms of IgE-mediated food allergy [5]. This evidence concerns the gene IGHE and food allergy.
