In previous work of our group, we demonstrated that in human brain of control and AD cases the anti-tTG antibody (06471) stained the cytoplasm of neuronal cells and colocalised with cerebral vessels and glial cells, and the pathological hallmarks of AD, i.e. cerebral amyloid angiopathy and senile plaques17, 37. The gene discussed is TGM2; the disease is cerebral amyloid angiopathy.
