Our findings indicate that, with the exception of HER2 overexpressing tumors, for which we lacked precision, the risk of all subtypes of breast cancer increased with increasing alcohol, as measured by average weekly intake; the risk seemed to be similar for hormonal receptor positive breast cancers, i.e., luminal A and luminal B subtypes, and for TNBC. This evidence concerns the gene ERBB2 and breast carcinoma.
