CRP and Nasal congestion: The French Agence Nationale de Recherche sur le SIDA 117 CastlemanB group have proposed criteria for the diagnosis of HIV-associated MCD, which require fever, CRP >20 mg/L and at least three of the following clinical features: peripheral lymphadenopathy, splenomegaly, oedema, pleural effusion, ascites, cough, nasal obstruction, xerostomia, rash, central neurologic symptoms, jaundice and autoimmune haemolytic anaemia.
