Recently, it was reported that normal breast fibroblasts co-cultured with breast cancer cells increasingly promote cancer cell invasion, in part through upregulation of ADAM metallopeptidase with thrombospondin type 1 motif, 1 (ADAMTS1) due to decreased binding of the histone methyltransferase EZH2 to the ADAMTS1 promoter [50]. The gene discussed is ADAMTS1; the disease is breast cancer.
