Further examination of immune cytokines including interferon-γ (IFN-γ) and interleukin 10 (IL-10) in serum from orthotopic transplantation mice showed a decrease in the level of IFN-γ and an increase in the level of IL-10 (Fig 3G) compared to normal controls, suggesting that an immunosuppressive environment was formed after tumor challenge in orthotopic transplantation HCC mice. This evidence concerns the gene IL10 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
