AFP and neoplasm: As shown in Table S4, univariate analysis revealed that ascites, tumor size > 5.5 cm (diameter), microvascular invasion, aspartate transaminases (AST) > 48 U/L, prothrombin time > 12 sec, alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) > 30.5 ng/mL, genotype C, HBV-DNA > 22.67 copies/gram, and three specific mutations (BCP A1762T/G1764A, small-fragment pre-S and LFCD mutations) were significantly associated with recurrence-free survivals.
