In order to investigate the molecular mechanism of miR-143 or miR-145 activity in colon cancer and cetuximab sensitization, we examined the expression levels of Bcl-2, which was shown to be reduced following miR-143 overexpression [18, 19], and may be relevant in this cetuximab-sensitization context, due to role in apoptosis regulation. This evidence concerns the gene BCL2 and colonic neoplasm.
