P2RY1 and angina unstable: According to current European Society of Cardiology and American Heart Association Clinical Practice Guidelines [5–7] ADP receptor blocker therapy should be administrated in all ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and non-ST-elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI)/unstable angina (UA) patients, while in STEMI patients undergoing primary PCI new ADP receptor blockers (prasugrel, ticagrelor) should be preferred; in patients with NSTEMI/UA prasugrel should be used just when coronary anatomy is already known and a decision to perform PCI has been already established.
