In the TEX population of the 4B-breathless cohort, levels of CystatinC (odds ratio (OR) 2.01; p-value <0.001), CD14 (OR 1.45, p = 0.001) and SerpinG1 (OR 1.32, p = 0.009) were significantly higher in heart failure-patients compared to controls (Fig 1A, median protein-levels in S1 Table), whereas SerpinF2 did not differ between these groups (OR 0.92, p = 0.44). The gene discussed is CD14; the disease is heart failure.
