Gain-of-function mutations in GATA2 were described in a previous study which reported myeloid blast transformation in CML [27]. MAX gene, through its complex interactions with MYC [28] and CEBPA [29], has been linked to tumor progression [30]. ENO1 acts as a transcriptional repressor of MYC [31]. The gene discussed is GATA2; the disease is chronic myelogenous leukemia, BCR-ABL1 positive.
