The levels of IFNα and IFNβ, cytokines with potent antiviral activity, and the IFN-inducible chemokine CXCL10, were comparable in BAL fluid isolated from A20AEC-KO and A20WT animals at different time points post-infection, suggesting that the type-I IFN response is not differentially regulated (S4B Fig). The gene discussed is IFNA1; the disease is infection.
