The unresponsiveness of OC and TRAP mRNA expression to T3 treatment in KO mice suggests that the lack of α2C-AR considerably impairs the thyrotoxicosis-induced activation of both osteoblasts and osteoclasts and, once more, support a TH-SNS interaction to control bone remodeling in a α2C-AR-dependent manner. The gene discussed is ACP5; the disease is thyrotoxicosis.
