Previous studies have shown that AFAP1-AS1 is upregulated in esophageal adenocarcinoma, pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, lung cancer, and nasopharyngeal carcinoma, and high AFAP1-AS1 expression is associated with lymph node metastasis, perineural invasion, and poor survival [17–20]. This evidence concerns the gene AFAP1 and nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
