Our data show reduction in cells in early stages of neurogenesis (Ki67 immunoreactive[+] progenitors and doublecortin [DCX]+ neuroblasts and immature neurons) results in behaviors that reflect both stress-induced anxiety and depressive-like behavior: increased latency to consume highly palatable food in the unfamiliar cage in NIH test, and increased immobility in TST, respectively.
