We further measured the expression of NF-κB-p105/p50 by immunoblotting and found that NF-κB-p105/p50 expression levels in colon were up-regulated in Cyp27b1-/- mice relative to WT mice (Fig 4G).These observations implicate that 1,25(OH)2D3 deficiency-induced colonic inflammation may result from overproduction of senescence-associated inflammatory cytokines. The gene discussed is CYP27B1; the disease is colitis.
